District Service held at Cairo Street Chapel, Warrington

It was lovely for members of churches in the district to gather again under one roof and worship together. The service was led by various members of the Lay Worship Team at Cairo Street Chapel, including Ray Beecham, and Lesley Lewis. The past president of The General Assembly of Unitarian and Free Christians Anne Mills gave thanks from the GA and praised the commitment of the Cairo Street Congregation for their work. After the service which explored the support of the anti-slave movement in Britain... the congregation was entertained with lovely food and refreshments in Cairo Street Chapel's new communal area. For more information about the anti-slave movement, the congregation has various leaflets giving an in-depth account of its support for the abolishment of the slavery movement.
