Our Area

The Association covers a relatively compact district in the North West of England with Liverpool at its centre.

The congregations vary in size of congregation, style and size of building and style of worship.

Ancient Chapel of Toxteth, Gateacre Chapel, Park Lane Chapel and Cairo Street Chapel represent some of the oldest Unitarian Chapels in the country. Meanwhile, Ullet Road Church in Liverpool is one of the largest British Unitarian Churches. In Cheshire, the congregation of Matthew Henry's Chapel worship at The Unity Centre in Chester. Two congregations can be found on the coast of Merseyside: the Southport congregation meet at the Southport Quaker Meeting House; also, the congregation on Wirral meets at Heswall Quaker Meeting House.
